Doug Couto

Doug Couto has more than 40 years in enterprise-wide executive leadership roles that include all levels of the US Air Force, the State of Iowa (CIO), and the State of Michigan (Multiagency IT Executive and DOT CIO). He helped state/local governments and education create a technology vision and make better technology investments for virtual desktops, mobility solutions, cybersecurity policies, and cloud technology. Computerworld named him a Premier 100 IT Executive in 2005 for providing leadership to a highly effective centralized information technology organization. He is noted for an innovative approach to application development through a public/private partnership. He is also an Asst. Professor and Adjunct Instructor for Management, Leadership, Communication Skills, and Information Technology Management and Public Administration; Educator; and Coach. His diverse technology leadership background, technology planning experience, and understanding of securing information resources combine to make him an ideal candidate as an outside director.
